I have had my Private Surveying Practice since 1980 to 2003 in Richards Bay.  During this time I was involved with the growth of Richards Bay, and provided professional services in a wide variety of sectors relating to Engineering and Construction on major projects.  I moved to the Western Cape, West Coast, Vredenburg (based in Jacobsbaai), where I am still involved in my Private Surveying Practice.  We are also commissioned by consulting engineers, architects ad local authorities for contract work on local engineering projects.  This includes topographical engineering, GPS surveys, earthwork volumes, creating digital terrain modules and the setting out of the engineering works.  As follows:Land Surveys, Engineering Surveyor & Construction LayoutsLeica RTK GPS 900 and Leica Total Station FlexlineModel Maker Systems on Road design and setting out.

We can provide differential GPS surveys that are fast, efficient and extremely accurate, over localized or very large areas. It is an ideal tool for boundary surveys, design, mapping, control and many other applications. Topographical Surveys and Mapping: Using Model Maker Systems (CAD ) the Topographical survey involves measuring the terrain of a site to determine the contours, positions of existing service infrastructure, buildings, dams etc. From the field measurements a DTM Model is prepared and a plan of all the site information, which is an essential tool in the planning and design of a project. Monitoring Surveys: Structural deformation, ground movements and other. As-Built Surveys: Surveys of existing facilities as buildings, storm drainage systems and other features. Volume Calculations: Volumes deliver fast, accurate volume calculations from digital terrain models as well as cut-and-fill volumes between digital terrain models. The service also uses contouring and elevation analysis tools to provide a variety of graphic presentations of cut-and-fill data on stockpiles, quarry sites, monthly earthworks etc. This company is equipped with all the modern survey equipment with data recorders.
